Can Your City

See the Milky Way?

Artificial light at night (light pollution), is quickly washing out the light of our stars and hiding them from our night sky, but pictured above, our Milky Way galaxy can still be seen shining over the city of Sedona, AZ. Why? They have preserved their dark, starry skies by using amber dark-sky lighting, a solution easily available and affordable to all cities. What is dark-sky lighting? Find out here!

Dear Readers,

Thank you so much for being here. Light pollution affects us all. It doesn't matter your religion, political affiliation, or ethnicity. We are all sharing this beautiful planet together, and we all have a right to look up and marvel at an awe-inspiring, starry night sky. We have been robbed of something precious and sacred that up until the past two centuries, has been admired by all people.

Below is an introductory video for the website, beautifully created and narrated by Daniel Ray (thank you Daniel!!), which gives you an overview of what you can find here and how you can get involved. Please share and take advantage of the resources on this website, and join the race in saving our stars! Together, I believe we can do it!
